Mercure Perth Hotel Supports Rays of Sunshine
Mercure Perth Hotel are delighted to announce their new charity partner this year is Rays of Sunshine, www.raysofsunshine.org.uk, a UK registered children’s charity that brightens the lives of seriously ill children aged 3 to 18 by granting their wishes, granting hospital ward wishes and organising large scale events.
Our aim is to raise £2000 in the first year of the partnership to fund magical wishes for brave and deserving children and to do that WE NEED YOUR HELP!
themselves and whether a child wants to be a princess or a fireman for the day, go to Disneyland in Paris, visit Santa in Lapland, own an iPad, meet a favourite celebrity or even a ‘real life’ mermaid, Rays of Sunshine works hard to make that wish come true.
Rays of Sunshine also grants ward wishes, which offer a distraction to hundreds of children during their time in hospital or a hospice. Events and outings are held throughout the year for large groups of seriously ill children including trips to theme parks, hospital activity/pamper days and parties.
In June the Jupiter Scottish GM’s & Management team climbed all 3000ft of Ben Lomond – Scotland’s most Southerly Munro. This turned out to be a physical and mental challenge for all involved as some do not like heights and some are not very active. The team together raised a whopping £2295 and even though the climb has now ended, you can still donate to this wonderful cause here.
We hope you will all GET INVOLVED and support our partnership so we can reach our £2000 target and grant magical wishes for brave and deserving children. Please ask at Reception about how you can support our partnership.
Mercure Perth Hotel transforms its gardens
In May 2017 we were pleased to complete a full renovation and transformation of our beautiful gardens.
The tranquil mill stream which runs through the gardens has always been one of the most popular features with guests and a firm favourite with newlyweds as a stunning backdrop for wedding photos.
Guests often like to have a drink in the garden on warm evenings and it’s the perfect outdoor space for a private event or to take a break from meetings and conferences in our meeting rooms, so the new planting and fresh new look have been very well received by guests and the locals for whom this is a much loved historic building.
