MacDiarmid Park
It has been the home ground of Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone since its opening in 1989. The stadium has an all-seated capacity of 10,696.
As well as St Johnstone matches, McDiarmid Park has been chosen to host the final of the Scottish Challenge Cup on nine occasions. It has also been used for rugby union, including a full international between Scotland and Japan in 2004, several Scotland A fixtures, and some home matches of the former Caledonia Reds team.

Branklyn Garden
This attractive garden, a peaceful haven within walking distance of Perth city centre, was developed by John and Dorothy Renton in the early 1920s after they built their Arts and Crafts-inspired house.
The couple were keen to have a garden that featured rare and unusual plants and flowers from all over the world. Thanks to the seeds collected by renowned plant hunters (including George Forrest and Frank Ludlow) and due to Dorothy’s remarkable gardening skills, the couple’s wish was granted.
Today, gardeners and botanists come from across the globe to admire Branklyn’s outstanding collection, particularly the rhododendrons, alpines and peat-garden plants. It also holds several National Collections of plants, including Meconopsis and Cassiope.
Perth Theatre
Perth Theatre recently took on a three year transformation project, reopening its doors to the public on Monday 13 November 2017 after its £16.6m transformation.
Funding for the £16.6m project was pledged from project partners Perth & Kinross Council, Creative Scotland, The Gannochy Trust, the Heritage Lottery Fund, other trusts and foundations, individual donations and other supporters and funding bodies.
Slap bang in the middle of Perth, who would expect to find one of Scotland’s oldest theatres at over 118 years old? The theatre as it stands today opened on Perth High Street in 1900 and at the time it boasted an 800-seat auditorium. When it opened the interior was described as ‘one of the finest in Scotland’.
Huntingtower Castle
Built in the 15th and 16th centuries, the castle is in impeccable condition with 2 complete towers. There is an original painted ceiling in the hall of the eastern tower dating from about 1540. Appreciate the castle’s odd layout, the two tower houses have been placed close together and joined in the 17th century. The castle is a 10 minute drive from the hotel and parking is available at the attraction.

Drummond Castle Gardens
Standing in for the ornate park and orchard of the Palace of Versailles in France, the stunning Drummond Gardens are one of Europe’s finest examples of a formal garden. Designed in the Italian parterre style, the gardens are approached by a mile-long driveway of beech trees that leads to the imposing walls of Drummond Castle. Look out for the peacocks which lend an aristocratic air to the graden’s scenery! Note: the castle isn’t open to the public.
Tibbermore Church
Set in a fascinating walled graveyard, this characterful rural church with medieval origins is known as Cranesmuir Church and hosts the scene of the infamous witch trial. Visit to step back in time and stand in Claire and Geillis’s fictional footsteps in the pulpit – if you dare!
